Vinay Pandey, M.A. (Hons.),   MBA

Vinay Pandey has a Masters in Economics from B.I.T.S. Pilani and an MBA from XLRI, Jamshedpur. He is an alumnus of IIM, Ahmedabad.

He has over 35 years’ experience in the steel industry in executive positions including a two-year deputation with Tata Refractories Ltd. He has worked in diverse areas such as Procurement, Synergy Group and Human Resources. From 2000-2015, he served as a faculty member of the Tata Management Development Centre, Jamshedpur and has conducted over 500 MDPs for executives of the Tata group companies. He superannuated from Tata Steel in May 2015.

He has an Emotional Intelligence certification (ECR360) from Potentia-Roche Martin, Australia. 

He is a visiting faculty at XLRI, Jamshedpur and Tata Management Development Centre.

Vinay is a member of the Harvard Business Review Advisory Council, an opt-in research community of business professionals.

A passionate learner, Vinay enjoys reading and travelling. He loves music and enjoys outdoor adventure sports.


Prof. Durga D Pathak, B.Sc., LL.B., MBA

Prof. Durga Dutt Pathak has a B.Sc. from University of Rajasthan, Jaipur. He obtained his LL.B. degree from Ranchi University, and an MBA from XLRI. In 1973, he joined The Tata Iron & Steel Company in the Personnel Division. He has an eclectic profile with rich work experience in areas like Education, Rural & Community Services, Town Market & Estate. He has also headed the Management Development Center of Tata Steel. He was the Team Leader of IR/HRM function attached to Profit Centres (Flat and Long Products, Bearing Division, TGS, Tubes Division) and Corporate function.

He is Certified trainer for “Action Learning”, a Certified Assessor with Credibility Alliance, and a Facilitator, Development Center.

He is a Visiting faculty at several leading institutions like XLRI, Jamshedpur, Management Training Institute, Ranchi, Tata Management Training Center, Pune, Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta, Banaras Hindu University, Faculty of Management Studies, Indian Institute of Coal Management, Ranchi, IIT-Kharagpur, Sri Satya Sai University, KIIT School of Management - KIIT University.

Durga is a passionate counsellor  and enjoys adventure activities and spiritual seeker.

Dr. S C Mishra, B.Tech, MBA, Ph. D.

Dr. S C Mishra is an Engineering graduate with post graduation in Business Management from XLRI, Jamshedpur and Ph.D. from NIT, Jamshedpur

He has worked for 39 years in Tata Steel as Sr. Divisional in diverse functional areas like Industrial Engineering, Project Management, Quality Assurance, General Management, and Management Development.

As a faculty member, he conducted over 250 MDPs  at Tata Management Development Centre for over 8 years. He has also taught a course on TQM at XLRI Jamshedpur as a visiting faculty member. He has trained executives of several companies like TRF, TSIL, TAYO, JSPL, and Hindalco on managerial skills.

Dr. Mishra is a certified Counsellor  and is also a spiritual seeker.


Mr. Shreekant Mokashi, B.Tech., PGDBM

Shreekant is has B. Tech in Metallurgy from IIT Bombay and a PGDBM from XLRI in Systems and Marketing.
Shreekant joined as Graduate Trainee in 1982 in the Management Services Department of Indian Tube Company that was later merged into Tata Steel as Tubes Division. 

He has extensive experience in building state-of-the-art IT system for Tata Steel's Cold rolling Mill in collaboration with POSDATA (South Korea) and later for Steel Strategic Business Unit with responsibilities for the Manufacturing systems, Supply Chain and Process improvement initiatives.

In 2006, with the merger of NatSteel (Singapore) and Steel business of Siam Cement with Tata Steel, he took on the challenge of designing a common High-Level Process design for: 
     i)  multi-country, multi-entity organisations
     ii) ensuring ownership of the processes at every level

In 2008, with the merger of Corus, Shreekant was designated the IT lead for Tata Steel Group and later in 2010 appointed as Chief Group Information Services responsible for IT Systems of the Tata Steel Group.
Shreekant was known for ushering in new technologies, building in-house capabilities, and setting up suitable governance mechanisms to derive maximum value from these new technologies at the least cost. He also brings a passion for learning and knowledge sharing.

Mr. D C Singhal

D C Singhal graduated in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur in 1961 with First Class Honours. He joined Tata Steel as a Graduate Trainee in 1961. He worked in the Engineering Division with responsibilities in the area of design, development project and construction. He was appointed Chief Development Engineer and subsequently Asst. General Manager. Mr. Singhal has worked on several major projects including the first LD Shop, Six-strand Billet Caster, Bar & Rod Mill, and the Slab Caster.

He has published several technical papers in Indian and foreign journals. The Billet Marking Machine developed by him has been patented in India and abroad (USA, UK, France, Canada, and Australia). Mr. Singhal was a member of the SAIL-TISCO team that was deputed to study Oxygen Bottom-blown process in Europe, USA and Japan in 1978. He was also deputed to Tata Davy Ltd. as General Manager.

Mr. Singhal is a fellow of the Institution of Engineers and a member of the Association of Iron and Steel Engineers (USA). He is also a Visiting Faculty at XLRI Jamshedpur, IIM Lucknow, and TMDC, Jamshedpur. Mr. Singhal retired from Tata Steel in early 2000. Mr. Singhal is more actively engaged as a visiting faculty in management teaching in several premier institutions for MBA classes and Management Development Programmes.
